I'm thinking about picking up the 12mm Rokinon for use on my Fuji XT2. Sometimes I forget to change the Mount Adapter setting in the Shooting Menu. Later I decided to crop her out as well.Įven though the Exif say 135mm, This was shot with the 12mm. This photo started with the entire left side being cropped and contained another woman sitting, to the right. Now I'm kind of thinking that for me, the 16mm f1.4 would be a better match. But, because of what I usually shoot, I was constantly cropping the photos I took with the 12mm, so when Fuji offered a huge discount on the 14mm f2.8 this past summer, I sold the 12mm and replaced it with the 14mm.

The 12mm is light and on my X-E2 made for a good all around walk about lens. The 12mm pretty much put the 8mm on the shelf so, I sold the Bower 8mm. All are Samyang built lenses with excellent build quality, even though the bodies are plastic like Canon and Nikon, and excellent optical quality. I later added the Rokinon 21mm f1.4 and Rokinon 50mm f1.2 to my kit. Surprise, surprise, this 12mm was a lot wider. To be honest, my brain was still wired for Micro 4/3, where the Olympus 12mm f2.0 was my favorite lens. My third lens was a Rokinon 12mm f2.0 that I bought in used, but like-new,condition for less than $200. When I returned to Fuji after using Micro 4/3 for almost three years, I bought an X-E2 with the 18mm f2.0 and a Bower 8mm f2.8 Compact Fisheye.
